TRUST

Psalm 89:9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Some friends of ours shared this picture taken on their vacation this summer. I just love the way it captures the TRUST of a child for her father. She sees what looks like, from her perspective, a HUGE wave approaching. She reaches over and her father's long arm is extended out gently if she needs him. He isn't grabbing her out of the wave. He is offering gentle support in the midst of the approaching wave. Isn't that the neatest thing? What a wise father he is.

Sometimes it feels as if the waves of life are crashing in. Sometimes those waves appear to be HUGE but they actually dwindle down to mere puddles. But as they approach, they are terrifying. It is then that, if we look - we see our Father with His hand outstretched and waiting for us to TRUST Him, to lend us support, and guide us through or away from what is ahead. What a wise Father He is.

Mar,
Wonderful image of our Heavenly Father's outstretched arms waiting for us to reach out to Him in the difficult times when the sand underneath our feet is eroding and the waves are threatening to knock us off balance and better still, when all is going well and we can just relax in the comfort of knowing that He is always there in good times and bad.

Beautiful!

Hi Mom,
Really neat picture.
It is hard to trust that God is in control when things are so uncertain and our days are filled with worry and stress. How reassuring to know that He is in control of every detail of our lives. He is holding us safely in the palm of His hand whether we are at peace or in the midst of a storm. He never leaves us. Talk to you soon.
