First Things First

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Prov 3:5,6
"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:33
"Let all things be done decently and in order." I Cor 14:40

OK, I have all these scriptures floating around in my head. The first two are so basic and important for my spiritual life. I say them, pray them and sing them. This morning the third one is kind of shouting at me. ORDER! I need to get a little order going around here. I have a counter full of yummy tomatoes, apples, corn and other various garden gifts. They have to be dealt with first. And then I see clutter here and clutter there that I have planned to organize and redistribute. I see the laundry pile which is threatening to topple. I hear the ironing board calling me even though I set it up and piled things on top of it lest it feel useless. And then there is that dust factor. The children are coming tomorrow and I must have things clean and reasonably neat. So.......
I have to again pray for clarity and the Lord's wonderful direction in even the ordinary tasks around here. Let the music begin and I shall work like the dickens to get things in order, first things first.

Mar,
Thanks for you visit and the comments you left on my blog. I don't like being in a desert, but I guess we all have to experience them from time to time. I will be yearning for the time that I can see the "oasis" because I know He is right there! Coincidentally, I had a daily devotional e-mail pop up this morning entitled, "Water for Your Soul." Coincidence? I think not!!! He is calling me - I just have to follow His voice.

Thanks again,
Plant Lady
