"What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee." Psalm 56:3

Sometimes things come up that threaten to shake us to the core. All our plans, dreams, and/or ambitions suddenly look as if they have come to an abrupt stop. Maybe they are just put on hold for awhile. Whatever, it can throw us for a loop and cause us to fear. But the question has to be posed deep within: Do I allow this to shake my faith? No way. We are not allowed that luxury as Christians. I think that is the time for us to look up, reach up, and pray up big time. It isn't easy. We still may weep and worry, but we shouldn't let it shake the foundation of who we are in Christ Jesus. We are His! We gave our hearts to the Lord, pledged to love, follow and serve Him. The Lord takes delight in our BELIEVING He will do what He says He will do. He just loves that faith thing! And He has promised over and over in His Word that He will take us through. So, we need to allow this "stretching" time to cause us to really stretch upward. And then we need to be ready to face the storm, humbly depending on our wonderful Lord who will sustain us. He will. He will. He will.

Blessings and prayers to all who are facing fearful or "stretching" times,

Mar

Hi Mar,

Just a note to tell you I can identify with this struggle. I am so thankful when I can look back and see that the sometimes meager faith I exhibited in the midst of all my whinning and crying was answered by God's amazing faithfulness! He is sooooo good!

By the way, great picture of Julie and Sarah!

love,

Mark
