Sorting is one of those things I find myself doing frequently. That is why I have a collection of Laundry baskets. My family loves to harass me about using them for EVERYTHING. I love to use them for the obvious use of laundry sorting, but refuse to be limited to only that function. We ladies have to be multi-taskers, after all. So, I use them for sorting and organizing. (Do I have to confess that sometimes those baskets are filled for quite awhile before I ever finish the process?)
The thing I get most teased about is using them when traveling. I am gently reminded: "Mom,
there is such a thing as a SUIT CASE!" I guess I can be rather embarrassing at times.
I love it when my girls give me a gift inside a laundry basket rather than the traditional gift bag or Hallmark wrapping. I can then use the various sized baskets for most anything. They are seen around my house being used for"
quilting
sewing
ironing (yuck)
the cleaned out drawer contents which haven't quite found their new home
the linens which go back to the beach
the toys for the youngest children who visit
the toys for the older children who visit
the stacks of "to read" booklets, papers, and magazine articles
stuff that needs to go to the garage
stuff that came in from the car
shoes that need polishing
books to donate to the Church library
So....you can see there are quite a few of these laundry baskets around my house. I guess that favorite Scripture of mine has really taken root in my heart. I know it was written in regards to order in Church, but I kind of think it applies to everyday living also. I know God wants to take control of every part of my life and I daily have to yield to that total control.

YOU have been tagged (yes, YOU!).
I knew YOU would participate. Rules are on my blog.
Mar,
Love the laundry baskets - or baskets in general! As for laundry baskets, I can never keep up with them - or their contents.
I'm supposed to have two here, but one has gone missing! The other is in my dining room, loaded with all of Mr. Plant Lady's SOCKS! When the washer eats (or dryer) them and only one can be found in the laundry load, the basket is the home for the LEFTOVERS! Eventually, they find their soul mate and wind up back TOGETHER AGAIN - a PAIR!
Mr. Plant Lady will ask, "Do I have any socks?" and my usual reply is "Yes, in the laundry basket!" He has to do the matching, though! That job is too difficult for me! Ha! Ha!
Blessings~
Plant Lady
