At last we are feeling that wonderful crispness of Fall. We still have warm days but even our bones can sense the coming chill in the air. I absolutely love it. The time of harvest and Thanksgiving brings us to our knees and fills us with humility and love for the God of all creation who delights in making new creations. Am I His new creation? Do I reflect His ways and will? I hope so. That is my prayer and goal. The Lord has a way of taking the fruits of our labors, the efforts we offer to Him - and using them in His work. A time of Harvest, that humble time of recognizing from whom all blessings flow. And that is good.
Have you ever had a humbling? A time or circumstance that has stripped you of any sense of dignity? Humblings come in all varieties. What might be humiliating to one person might not be to another and perhaps you would not think mine to be that big of a deal. Dental surgery has been a real humbling experience for me and is keeping me shut in temporarily. It is not a quick thing like a shot that hurts but then is over. It's an ordeal. And ordeals require patience. Yuck. I don't have enough of that and here is opportunity for me to develop some more. And after all - God hates the proud but loves the humble. So, I am accepting my humbling and will resist the grumbling. : )

Mar,
Great new look on your blog! You are right, humblings come to all of us and it seems at just the right time.
I agree it teaches patience.
Have a great morning with God!
