"The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him." Psalm 24:1

Sometimes when I am praying, I find that my prayers are mostly for those close to me, dear to me or those that have asked for prayer. Prayer is a great privilege. Knowing that we have an audience with the Lord God is really amazing. Realizing that He cares about our needs is so comforting and encouraging. It is easier to pray for those that we know or who are known by our loved ones than for complete strangers. Yet we are to pray for not only strangers, but also for the lost, the undesirables, the dirty, homeless, pagans, heathen - all of them. Why? Because all of those people belong to Him. It is His desire that EVERYONE come to the knowledge of the Truth, Jesus the Saviour. Our wonderful Lord died for all those people, so we just absolutely HAVE to pray for them, too. And that is my challenge today. As I sing and go about my work, I will be concentrating on lifting up all those people who need the Lord. After all - He loves them.
